Country Style

I was walking thru the local supermarket last week and happened past the magazine rack, which to be quite honest usually doesn't catch my eye at all, but this time I glanced over and saw this most glorious cover of a home all dressed in the most perfect way.  Quite excitedly I picked it up and flicked my way thru it and found these stunning pictures. 

The magazine is sold only here in Australia.  It's not a magazine I've ever noticed before but I most certainly will keep my eye out for it from now on.

Believe it or not this home was decorated by a bloke.  Not that I don't think a bloke can do this, it's just that they don't normally like a style such as this, but there you go!  He must be a bit special, hey!  He has an antique shop in Lismore, New South Wales, close enough for me to think about a trip down to check it out!  Enjoy!!

Occasionally visit your blog via Natasha’s and always promise myself that we should be dropping by more often as you always have lovely posts going on here.

May I ask, you seem to be doing a bit of your furnishing and painting yourself, for advice on the painting of white? I have that odd assortment of mixed woods from different homes over the years and to my ex-husband’s taste.

Feeling the need for a change and even been to the paint store to find a sample chip of the perfect shade of cream and now stuck. Do I want to crackle glaze or should I use the Vaseline paint lift technique? The man at the paint store did not understand why I would want to repaint only to distress.

The cover certainly caught my eye yesterday when I was at the supermarket too!
Love his house. Bad luck I live in the wrong state to just drop into his shop.
