Gosh, life is busy, isn't it?! Here it is Sunday again, another week gone and I feel like I haven't done anything, but of course I've been flat out all week! I started selling on the dreaded Ebay again this week, as if I haven't got enough stress in my life. That's company's sole purpose in existing is to rip off it's own customers. I had been putting off selling for nearly a year because I didn't want to deal with Ebay, and of course it's been stressful right from the moment I listed my first item. I've made up a few packs of 12 pieces of Ashwell fabric which I'm selling for AU$19.50, which are also on my website. Even if you don't use them, you can hang them on the wall and they look really pretty!

Of course, when you have the least amount of time, it's just when you get the creative bug to make something, and then of course you don't have time to take advantage of it. House to clean, orders to put together etc etc etc. Never ending! I'm so jealous of ladies who get to stay home and don't have to work full-time. On the other hand, even if I did stay home I don't think I'd get any more done as I seem to get the most done when I'm pressured for time! You can't win, huh! I've got heaps of bits and pieces lying around I'm itching to make things with, but I just can't seem to get started...

I have this absolutely gorgeous Mary Rose series 12 fabric set and they are so beautiful. I want to make a quilt for my bed, but it's so hard to get started....I think it may be because I haven't really narrowed down how I want to do it...rag quilt, plain old patchwork or maybe a crazy quilt, or maybe a mix of styles...sooo hard....I'm so stressed over it, I'll put it off again...

I have been putting a bit of time into getting my home into shape, but money is always an issue. I can't get my lounge done as Dear One won't let me get a lounge suite, even though I'm happy to get a secondhand one ~ definitely not happy with the lounge and it can't come together without a lounge suite. Frustrating! The kitchen needs a huge cupboard taken down and some shelves put up before I can finish that, and I need Dear One to do that for me, but I have to work out a way to get him to do it as dropping many hints hasn't worked up till this time. Painting kitchen cupboards is so yucky and it's all half done and I can't seem to get motivated to finish it. My workroom, well, I've tackled that about four times in the last few months, and it still looks like a bomb it it. Such a mess and there's been so many pretty workrooms on blogs I've been cruising, and mine isn't one of them! Mess, mess, pretty mess, but still mess.....
Not putting a picture of THAT...silly!
We had a day off last Monday for May Day and Dear One and I spent a lovely day watching movies which we rarely do. We watched three all in one hit and what a lovely relaxing day it was. We watched Lions for Lambs with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, Michael Clayton, which was also good but really hard to follow, not at all relaxing since I had to think; and the best of all, Death at a Funeral. Kev and I just laughed ourselves silly all the way through it, it was sooo funny. Definitely recommend the last one, we haven't laughed so much in ages!

Of course we could only do this after we spent the morning chasing my little Harry Houdini (AKA Chantelle) up from downstairs. Sasha and Chantelle are both inside cats, but since we've been at Laidley we've been letting them go out on the verandas. But little Harry has been getting downstairs. Little poop. She really made me laugh though as I opened the big double doors at the top of the stairs to herd her back in, wondering how she got down there, only for the little idiot to run up the stairs and go onto the veranda exactly how she came down....ha, then I knew exactly how she got down. What a dope she is! But every time Kev stuck a piece of wood up, five minutes later he'd call up, "Chantelle's down here again!" Man, we didn't think we'd ever get that one resolved. So this is our lovely front door now, all boarded up. I'm sure the postie is going to think we're trying to keep him out! He's a real sweety, he drops my parcels onto the veranda for me so I don't have to go to the PO to pick them up...that's the country for you, some really nice people who go out of their way!

And here are my little girlies, all comfortable last night, with me reading my new Who magazine after a hard day lounging with my sister! You gotta have one day off!!

Although, you may notice Chantelle has her back to me...she's pooey because Sasha is laying so close next to me and she thinks that's her spot...spoiled little so and so!
